Return to DiscussionsI often go without, not all the time but often, depending on what I'm wearing. Happens more often in the summer. Like you I'll more than likely wear a thong if I'm not comando, I grew up in the 90s/00's my thong habit is here to stay. Ive also been getting into more vintage retro styles for the odd special occasion or to mix things up (and for colder times). I've been going without since my student days when the habit was formed out of laziness.
About 3 years ago I ditched my bras too. That was harder to do, took a lot of getting used to and a rethink on my wardrobe so some extent but totally worth it. As others have said, if you can't be naked going without underwear gives you that little bit of freedom every day.
My wife will go without panties on beach/tropical vacations. When we visited the Caribbean annually, she packed two pair: one for the plane ride there and one for the plane ride back. While there, she never wore them. She gave up on bras decades ago after undergoing two surgeries to remove lumps from her breasts, both were fibroid cysts caused by her wearing underwire bras, according to her doctor and the surgeon.
She'll go without panties while riding in our motorhome as well. To and from clubs, resorts or on other trips. Me, I've gone commando since I was 14 and in HS. Played sports and saw the older guys doing it after practices so I followed suit and haven't worn underwear in over 55 years!
My wife doesn't necessarily choose to go commando...unless she's run out of panties to wear. Many a times we'll be getting ready to go out; and she'll realize all her panties are in the dirty clothes hamper. At which point she'll just shrug her shoulders and declare that "she'll be going panty-less today." Depending on what she's planning to wear, she can "take or leave" panties either way.
If we're going to the resort, she doesn't give it a second thought. Why be constricted when you're going to be naked as soon as you get there? So she always travels commando - or completely underwearless - to the resort. She'll typically wear a onesie/short there because she can just whisk it off in the parking lot and be naked right away.
