Florida Resort Recommendations

Return to Discussions

Having recently moved to Florida, we are looking forward to spending a couple of relaxing days at one of the many resorts here. Any recommendations? We are looking for one of the smaller, quiet, resorts with nice accommodations.

We only have one experience in the Tampa area resorts and that was Paradise Lakes. We had a great 3 day experience but I would offer a tip for anyone staying there. Rent one of the Condo's outside the resort itself and pay day fees at the resort. PL has a no food or alcohol is to be brought in rule. I saw some of the Condo's rent comparable to the room rates and some even cheaper than in the resort.

It's a gated nudist community so walking or golf carting into the Resort is no biggie. You can come and go to the area restaurants or shopping as should you choose.

We have stayed at parodies lakes and Caliente
They r 2 totally different Resorts. 2 different daily use rates as well.
I wouldn't stay at either place again. I would just pay the daily use fee

We just recently moved back to FL also! Have been to some of the resorts here in the past though. I concur with the other two comments but would add it you want a more relaxed location for starters you might want to try Lake Como or Cypress Cove. We are going to be taking part in the 5k nude run at Lake Como this Sunday!

I know this is late and I couldn't determine exactly where in FL you are, but I thoroughly agree with all the above comments and highly endorse Cypress Cove. We have a nearby resort (30 mins.) called Sunsport Gardens (so-so). Hope this helps!

Cypress Cove is the best hands down that I've found
