Getting rid of underwear

All at once or gradually over time?
Donate, rag bin. trash intact or destroy.
Once I retired, I started freeballing more and more, but my underwear supply actually increased for 2 reasons.
First, I bought 2 string bikinis and 1 g string to see if I liked wearing skimpier underwear instead of none at all.
Second, my wife noticed that I was frequently not wearing underwear and some of mine was getting worn, so she bought me 6 more and opened the package and put them in my drawer without telling me.
Up to that point, I hadn't told her that I was intentionally wearing underwear less often, but then I did.
Since it made sense to me to not have more underwear now that I was rarely wearing it, I got rid of enough to get back to 10, little less than my normal supply over the years, Kept the g string and both string bikinis, but reduced the rest of my supply to 3 boxers and 4 briefs.
3 months later I was wearing underwear less and the g string never, so I got rid of one of each, leaving 6.
I had asked my wife to find a place to donate the first batch and she was still looking, so I gave her this group, except the g-string which I put in the trash. Shortly after this, after several unsuccessful attempts, she gave up on finding a charity that would takd used men's underwear and put it in the trash.
After after another 3 months, I got rid of one each of the remaining 3 types, leaving me with 3 total.
While I soon noted that I was wearing underwear so rarely that 1 should be enough, it took me several more months to get rid of the other 2, keeping just one briefs for doctors appointments.
3 months and 2 doctors appointments after that that, as part of an on line dare, I got rid of the last pair.
Each of these times I shredded the underwear while wearing it, until the only thing left was the waistband which then went in the trash with the shreds. Very liberating to reduce and destroy what i was wearing until there was nothing left and I was nude.
In retrospect, i should have jusst destroyed it all on my first day of retirement, and been totally underwear free and not wasted money on the 9 pair that were bought after I retired.
I started going commando one summer and decided to wait until the winter to see if I needed to keep any for the winter and then after the first winter not needing them I got rid of all the older pairs and kept a few back for my really best cloths but now I don't even bother for then now so the last few are stored as I haven't bothered to chuck them out yet.
May be overdoing this but here is a summary of my transintion to full time freeballing and getting rid of my underwear.
All percentages are of waking hours as I never wore 2 layers to bed and have been an almost full time nude sleeper since 1989.
May 2015 Retire increase freeballing from about 20% to 50%. Do not get rid of any underwear. Gradually increase to 80% over next 12 months.
May 2016 Stop wearing underwear to the gym. Reduce supply from about 20 to 10.
August 2016 approaching 90%. Reduce to 6.
October 2016 Freeballing around 95%. Destroy 3 pair leaving 3. Continue to wear underwear even less often.
April 2017 Have been continuously freeballing for over a month. Decide to limit wearing underwear to doctor's appointments when I expect to be asked to strip to my underwear. Destroy 2 pair. Can't find one remaining pair so think I am now underwear free.
May 2017 The one missing pair appears. Keep it and wear it once to the dermatologist.
July 2017 Two much younger men mention in The Freeballers Forum that they would like to get rid of the last of their underwear but are uncomfortable at the same time. I tell them I will rip up my last pair to give them incentive to do the same and do so. One of them says he tossed the last of his, but so far as I know the other has not.
