First trip to Collins Beach
Return to DiscussionsI took my first visit to Collins Beach on Friday (8/12). I thought I would share my impressions and experience.
First, it was an absolutely beautiful sunny day, and much needed hot sunny day in the Pacific Northwest. I got there some time after lunch as was amazed with how many people were there. A large number of people were on the beach and quite a few on boats in the water. I have been to a few unofficial nude beaches and each has it own issues. Some are too small, or are really just a sunning area; with no swim area, or have too many people there for non-nudists reasons. Collins was wonderful. Nice and large, plenty of room to stroll on the beach or find a spot to hang out. The beach was great and the water welcoming. The people were pleasant (and well behaved). I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, I was thoroughly impressed.
I plan on going again on Wednesday (8/24) if anyone is interested in trying to get a meet up together let me know.
I''m planning to go to Collins today. 8/27, I'll be joining a group of which I have not met anyone yet. i had been corresponding with a guy online for w while and he asked if i wanted to go. Yay!.
The lat time i went the water level was still pretty high, and the only place that had sand to lay out was at entrance 5. This was aroudn the begining of July. The water was still too cold then to go swimming. I am looking forward to late today.
Last Saturday, Aug. 27, The beach was great. i didn't go into the water, but the sun was great, the sky was completely clear and a deep blue, and it wasn't hard to find a parking spot. I went with two persons i had not met before and they were both very nice. Ihope to go out with them again. It is always more fun to be out at the nude places with other like minded people.
