Group Showers

A group for those that like to shower with others to enjoy the beauty of the body.

Perhaps it has been written here already but the feeling of having a shower where there are many or few others is quite unique and so satisfying. I also feel that a collection of showering folk will be cheerful for that reason.

It was in a group shower that I fully grasped how great the nudist lifestyle really differs from being textile.

I was at White Tail Nudist Resort and went to shower. When I arrived, there were 2 women and a gentleman already showering. Having grown up in NC with racist overtones all of my life, I automatically stopped and began to turn around because these 3 people were White and appeared to be closer to my parents age than mine. My experiences have been that the older the person, the more uncomfortable they feel around big Black men so I didn't want to upset them. Before I could take my first step away, the man said come on in, there's another showerhead available. He spoke loudly because it was cold and he wanted to ensure I heard him thru the closed sliding door. I told him I could wait and his wife spoke up and said come on in here. After assuring they were serious, I went in and started showering. As I continued, it hit me that here I was, completely nude, showering with 2 completely nude older White women and a husband, washing our most intimate parts, and they were carrying on a normal conversation like I wasn't even there. The women weren't afraid of me, the man wasn't offended by my presence or trying to intimidate me, but everything was completely peaceful. This made me feel so different from the many times I've seen White women clutch their pocketbooks, pull their children to them so they wouldn't be near me, lock their doors as I walked toward them, or just give me one of those looks of disgust. This was my wake up moment about one of the joys of being in the non judgemental nudist lifestyle! I've learned in the past 7 years that it still exists, but not nearly as often.

Then, to make the encounter even better, the wife noticed that I didn't have a towel or robe with me so she insisted that I take their spare towel to keep from freezing on my walk back to the cabin. All three of them were genuinely concerned about me being cold although I told them I would be alright. I got their address, thanked them, and watched as they left while still carrying on normal conversations. By the way, they did include me in their conversations while in the shower.

I could hardly wait to get back to the cabin and tell my wife about this positive encounter and experience. She was also shocked. After washing the towel, I returned it to them and had a longer conversation with them. That's also when I was reminded of just how small this world can be at times. I saw a sign on their porch indicating he was a retired fireman and the name of the fire department seemed familiar. After a while it dawned on my where I had heard the name and it was thru Facebook. One of my college football teammates joined that fire department after he graduated and when I mentioned his name, the man told me they worked together and were very good friends.

I made three new friends, had a great positive interacton without a racial undertones, accepted and appreciated the greatness of the nudist lifestyle all as a result of being in a group shower!

Showering with people can sometimes be a positive experience. I remember the first time my boyfriend had ever been to a resort. The shower had 2 shower heads and no one was using it. He decided it was fine to take a shower. As he started one of the younger ladies there decided she needed a shower. She was the kind of person that is never a stranger to anyone and loves to talk. She started talking to him and the more she talked the more embarrassed he became. I am sitting and laughing as this story unfolded. He was trying not to look at her and the more she talked the more she leaned in. Finally when he got through and dried off he realized it was no big deal. And i laughed about it all day. Now he is still friends with her on FB and send crazy stuff to each other. It was a great way to make friends!

I had the opposite effect. The one time I used the communal showers every else stopped.
