How do you upkeep and maintain a smooth hair free body?

Return to Discussions

When I finally win the lottery, my first expense is going to be a full body laser treatment. No hair from top to toe has always been a personal goal of mine. And laser hair removal seems the most effective.

I am tired of shaving and plucking my pits, pubes, arms, legs, back, butt, and torso. Its exhausting!!

Would like to hear from other men who have had laser hair removal. Are you pleased with the results?

I'm not very hairy so I shave once a week.

I did full body laser a few years ago. took 8 to 10 sessions on each area over a full year. I'm happy with the results but it didn't get me completely smooth. Laser doesn't work on white, grey hair. (Laser work against the hair's pigment) So I still have to shave a bit but it is greatly reduced in frequency and razor bumps. (What hair I have is much weaker and softer.) I've also started working with an electrolysis tech. Anything that is long or dark were removing. Hoping to get to the point of only having "peach fuzz" at most on any part of my body. Chest is done and working the arms now.

I guess my point is that laser may not be a magic bullet. Depending upon how much hair you have and it's pigment you may want to look at other/all options or work a combination like I need to do.

BTW - Laser is panful in a sharp burny/stingy way in quarter sized spots. Electrolysis is painful in tweezer/pinchy way hair by hair. If you have an aversion to pain neither will be pleasant for you.

When I had my laser removal in 2010, I just did the male Brazilian and buttox , they called in a prescription for numbing cream... I did the first and second one without, it's an eye opener LOL... I was told as the sessions progressed they turn the laser up.. Numbing cream helped tremendously, you did at times still feel the pinch on your balls and just under...

"You are right. There is no magic bullet and laser only works on dark pigment hair. You also have to make sure you get the right type of laser. I am dark skinned so I went with YAG that works for tanned and dark skin. You also have to make every appointment (usually about 5-6 weeks apart.) I still have the odd hair here and there but only need to do a touch up shave or pluck once a week or so."

Back when I did mine they said if I was tanned the laser might burn me, it didn't work on darker pigmented areas, so for 8 months I couldn't tan... In the end well worth it, baby smooth. I started taking testosterone a couple of years ago and that will make hair start to grow back VERY fine and slowly, so I hit it was a razor once a week or 2.

The way I found out about it, I was dating this girl and she was incredibility smooth down below and I asked what kind of razor did she use I need to get one of those.. She said she did laser hair removal several years before that... I made my appointment with in a week...

I shave about every other day using a rotary razor and a disposable razor for my underarms and pubic area.

I plan to get full-body electrolysis once it's safe to do so -- everything below the eyes. I loathe shaving all the time, but I look and feel so much better smooth.

I get waxed. I rather enjoy the process. Yeah it is necessary to have it done every 6-8 weeks, but I do not mind.

Just shaving in the shower. Only my pubes as I'm mostly not hairy except for my pits and legs.
