Some Questions about Cockrings

Return to Discussions

I have never worn any cockring but i'm interested in the topic. Is it just jewelry or a special feeling to wear a cockring? What kind of cockrings are there? Is it difficult to put on the cockring? What are the reaction of other nudists? How is the effect on women?

RE:Some Questions about Cockrings

I personally wear a metal penis ring most of the time as a piece of jewelry, at the base of my penis. There are various materials, metal, rubber, plastic, etc. that are used in the manufacture of it. I do not and never have used it for sex, I call it a penis ring when it is worn as jewelry and cock ring when it is used for sexual purposes. At our resort there are several other men who have them. Also quite a few of the ladies are sporting labia piercings.

I wear my penis head ring every day all of the time. I own two of them in two different diameter thicknesses. The thicker one offers a little heavier feeling when it's in place, whereas my thinner one just looks great and fits nicely in my circumcision groove behind my head. The only time that I remove my ring is when I'm having an erection prior urination, or when I'll be having an ejaculation. I personally love the look of a head ring. They are fun and the bright stainless steel catches the eye when worn in the sunshine.

RE:Some Questions about Cockrings

I had a thick gauge metal one in my 20s. I used it during sex but as I gained weight I noticed it became too tight and my cock would turn purple. I have had a hard plastic one for years and love it. Just started wearing it more. Bf and I also purchased some metal ones. The one in my pics is too large. When I am flaccid it falls off. LOL. So I ordered a smaller one. I just like the feeling and weight. I am 48 now and feel my reason for wearing one has changed. Also as we come close to entering a third Covid year, we both live and work from home mostly nude, it was time to explore a bit more. Feel good moments.

Jewelry with a special feeling is how I classify them, both for the shaping effect and, especially if metal, the weight and then the resulting swing. My preference is stainless steel and your local hardware store may have options to allow you to try without spending much (they should be near the wire ropes, turnbuckles and the like). The ones I use are multiple 40mm internal diameter for the package and 28mm for the glans. I wear them for myself rather than for others but I'm sure they are quite noticeable! The feelings of others range from dislike to 'Hey! You've got some too!'

How is the effect on women?

Externally or internally? :-)

RE:Some Questions about Cockrings

Thank you all for your answers. Where can I buy a cockring? Nowadays it's no problem to buy a vibrator in Germany but I have never seen any cockrings. How can I determine the right size of a cockring? I don't think that I can try them on.

Any adult/sex shop would sell it. Try Beate Uhse.

Now I am irritated. On Beate Uhse and other sites cockrings are described as a sex-toy you should not wear longer than half an hour.

RE:Some Questions about Cockrings

That is true if one is using it as a sexual accessory but they mean not to leave it on for long periods of time only if one has an erection!! As a piece of jewelry worn on a flaccid penis is OK to wear for longer periods because it does not cut off the circulation or the flow of urine!! I usually wear mine every day, sometimes even at night!!

RE:Some Questions about Cockrings

By now you will have seen what others have said in reply to your query. I would add that the attraction for me was added bling. No different than my wedding ring, my shaftring, my cockring and my glans ring each feel great when they are in place plus they add bling which can be a conversation starter in a male bonding scenario and an element of fashion at the nude beach.

Each type has a distinct penis response. The glans ring increases the shape & size of my crown (due to being positioned in my circumcision). The cockring evenly distributes increased pressure from forward of the pubic bone to the crown including my scrotum. The increased pressure on the scrotum improves the nerve responses in this area. The shaftring operates on the penis overall but not on the scrotum. Some men will also utilize ball weights which, like the shaftring, operate on a specific area rather than on the whole. The same could also be said of a p/a ring though this last requires a permanent disfigurement not unlike a tongue bolt or a nose piercing; not for the faint of heart as I see it.

From a nudist perspective I tend to think less is more which is to say something to accentuate. Your experience like everyone else will vary from some who will view it with a measure of disdain while others will appreciate your individuality and sense of style.

In any case, you want to be comfortable with your bling so correct sizing is key. Just like a wedding ring, a pair of shoes or glove, the wrong size leads to dissatisfied user. Finally, ease of installation and removal all hinge on the correct size too and go hand-in-hand with the appropriate design.
