Fitness challenge

Return to Discussions

Hi everyone. I have started a 12 week fitness challenge to try to muscle up a bit and maybe get my body fat percentage down as well. I'm really keen to get in touch with other nudists into their fitness and maybe sharing some training tips. I've shared some vids on here for anyone who is interested.

Cheers Pirate Bob
I'm 74kgs and 183 cm tall - about 6 foot tall. I'd like to stay around that weight but muscle up a bit and improve my aerobic fitness (today I ran 4.5km in 20 mins at a consistent 2 percent incline. I will post a pic of myself as at today and throughout the challenge to see how I look in 12 weeks time.

RE: Fitness challenge

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread. Great to hear from fitness minded nudists including some. Fitness professionals. Me, I am just an enthusiastic amatuer although I'm happy to share with others what works for me as well as what I am trying to achieve. Please bare in mind we are all different and have different goals so what works for me may not be the best option for you.
My goals - I'd like to muscle up a bit more while retaining or improving my overall cardio fitness.
Nutrition - I am not a big fan of dieting as such. For me it's a matter of cutting out the crap from my diet - we all know what is good and bad for us. Chocolate and takeaway junk food was my biggest downfall - I find it easier to eliminate them completely rather than allow myself the occasional treat. Also drink plenty of water.
Finite Challenge Period- I find that a fixed period gives a real focus to my workouts. If I'm running or doing weights I make every session count and try to have nothing left in the tank at the end - in other words keep pushing myself to the limit and pushing those limits a bit further every time. Also a finite period gives me a 'no excuses' mentality - I want to maximise my gains within a limited period of time so I'd rather pull my teeth out than skip a training session!
Weight - I tend not to obsess over the scales. A great way to track progress is to take pics weekly or fortnightly. Nude pics are great as they clearly highlight your gains and areas where I need to improve. I will post my own pics here which are available for certified friends to see. (I tend not to accept friendships from members who aren't prepared to share as well - I mean it's good to see your friends rather than a headless torso lol)
Anyway enough from me and all the best to my fit nudist friends!

RE: Fitness challenge

Fun reading, guys! thanks for posting and challenging! Starting at 200 lbs (added 30 lbs this winter to add strength) Feb 1, now down to 192. No strength loss so far.
Two workouts per day, hour plus cardio mornings, hour plus lifting at night. This morning did hour on treadmill, 3.0 mph, incline 0.5 degree incline increase every 10 minutes - starting 1.0 ending 4.0 - while boxing (jabs) continuously. Then, 100 2 second ab crunches, 50 flutter kicks, and stretches.
Will take body fat measure tonight before lifting (legs) -- using hand-held electrical impedance machine - ADVICE: when checking body-fat, choose 25 as your "age" - most charts I've tested way age-overestimate body fat for athletes -- that is, the metrics hugely increase estimated INTERNAL body-fat with increased age -- whatever the value of the increase (dubious for athletes based on my research), for me the visible amount of body-fat is preferred measure - this also allows us to compare our joint progress as group!
Thanks again, folks! Total fun!!!!

RE: Fitness challenge

I workout in the winter months (April - October) to build strength for firefighting competitions. during the season, regular training is enough to maintain strength. im around 173 cm tall, 80 kg, body fat I'm unsure about, but is quite good for my age. i also have a very high power to weight ratio, something that Imneed for my role in competitions.
season has just finished, so I will be heading back to the gym in the next week or two, as well as seeking some sprint coaching to get a bit more speed on the track (for those times when I'm not hauling anything).

RE: Fitness challenge

Great being able to interact with so many nudists who love their fitness - really great to hear from you and your own workouts. It was 'run' day for me 6.25km at a consistent 13kmh pace.
I have posted a couple of my own progress shots. Feel free to critique / offer advice on areas I need to work on. I think I need to reduce my body fat percentage and beef up my arms, shoulders and chest a bit.
