I think you are right. From their point of view..... it's better to reopen in the fall when slower, rather than summertime and dealing with the crowd of disappointed park/beach goers being turned away due to capacity.

I'm here today and it feels great. Not crowded obviously. Before coming out, I checked the state park website or https://twitter.com/TCParks. They'll tell if the park is absolutely full for the day so you don't bother making the drive.

Glad it is opened as the rest of the world is doing but Austin. Can't hide forever - just be responsible. You can be responsible and naked.

Been there twice the past month & made it nicer. Moved alot of rocks from the beach up to the forest to create a cobblestone look over the shrubs.
