Return to DiscussionsIn Europe, it's not only highly unusual not to get into a hot tub naked. It's also forbidden in the vast majority of cases for hygiene reasons. So, the title of this post is a bit surprising. The same applies to the sauna, by the way. It's only used naked. You often see Americans here wearing swimwear and going into the sauna or hot tub. Don't do that if you don't want to embarrass yourself. ;-)

On the other hand, if you go into a coed hot tub nude in the US, it would cause an embarrassing situation. A visiting executive from France or Germany did that at a gym a friend of mine belonged to and it created a lot of commotion.
Had the pleasure at a resort to spend time in both hot tub and sauna nude it was off season an every building had a hot tub and sauna with only a few guest and picking the time made it easier one night there was someone in the hot tube and asked if he minded if I went naked and he consented It was really enjoyable PS it was a coed facility
