RE:How do you spend the time nude or with others without spouse getting mad?

I've only been a nudist for 5 years now. I started being nude around the house. She wasn't a fan, AT ALL!

The first time nude at home, I decided, after waking up, I'd just sit and read like I normally did but without my usual shorts on. She asked me why I was naked after she woke and joined me for coffee, I just said "Because I can!"

I can't even tell you how many times after the first that she asked me if I was going to put some clothes on (and not in a nice way). My response was always "Why?"
She never had an answer. Of course, any response would have sounded selfish on her part. It was simply, what I wanted to do versus what she wanted me to do"!

Eventually she just decided it was a loosing battle and gave up! Now. she thinks something is wrong if I don't take my clothes off the minute I walk in the door.

During one conversation she said, You're 60 years old, I guess you can do whatever you want.

We just got home from Cypress Cove. Our forth time there. We were both nude for 6 days.

Our first time, she relented to try one night, just for me, but she WASN'T GETTING NAKED! It only took her 5 minutes poolside before her suit came off. We stayed for 5, both nude the whole time! :-)

Yes, some have spouses that may disagree with us, Yes, there should be some compromise in a relationship, but you need to be true to yourself, "Be free to be me!"

"Be free to be me!" and "Because I can!" became my mantras.

How sad life can be if you can't have the freedom to be yourself, or a spouse that feels they have the right to dictate your behavior, especially over something as insignificant as clothing vs no clothing!

Sometimes you just need to take a stand for yourself!

I enjoyed reading this post, FreeLee! Since becoming a nudist nearly four years ago, Ive had a similar experience with my wife. Shes now gotten to the point where shes willing to tolerate my nudism, but she has not yet joined me. So, Ill keep working on her, ever so gently. You give me hope!!

My wife has also moved from asking me to get dressed to asking why I am dressed. Still is rarely nude at home and wouldn't consider going to a clothing optional beach or resort. Since she doesn't like to go to the beach at all, I can go to the clothing optional beach without her and she doesn't mind. In fact, since I retired almost 7 years ago, the majority of my beach trips in NJ were to the clothing optional one, and about half of those it was the only one I went to. Last spring, we went to Myrtle Beach. It was the first time I had been to a clothing required beach in 14 months. After I set up my chair, I instictively reached down to remove my shorts but remembered that I was not in the right place to do that!

Agree just can't say but since I go to a nude park I end up with a sunburn in places you can't be clothed. So she ends up finding out then gets mad since I didn't ask her. I retort why ask when you won't do it. So she knows I go and really just wants to know when. Figures I'm out there picking up other women since of course they would be nude there (actually not all are). Just not true - of course you look as they do but never had one hit on me or vice versa. Many couples out there as well and I try to cultivate meeting people out there with limited success through here and a site for the park Hippie Hollow so maybe see some of you out there some time? I thought back about the times I have been to the beach beginning in the summer of 2016 and think I have only worn a swimsuit on a NJ beach twice, and both times I went with my sister.
