How did you meet, who was the nudist!?
Return to DiscussionsI've posted this thread on several of the sites I'm on. It's a fun way to get to know others a bit more. So ... how did you two meet and who was the nudist in the relationship? Did it take long to convince the reluctant partner to join in? Are you nudists all the time or recreational nudists and only nude on vacations and weekends? Thanks for participating!
My wife and I actually met online through a dating site. After exchanging numerous getting to know you messages we discovered that we both had experience with social nudity. Once we discovered that about each other we decided we had to meet. A lunch date was made and we have been together now for 8 wonderful years, been married for the past two. We try to get away and visit resorts once or twice a year, but mostly just enjoy a nude lifestyle at home. We have met a couple of friends and get together now and then nude, as well as clothed.
We were both nudists. Him about 2 years; at that time, I had been a nudist for around 30. I was moderator on a naturist bulletin board. We were friends for two years online before I posted a note asking if anyone could give me a lift from the Orlando airport to Cypress Cove where the ASA(now AANR) was being held that year. The following February, we were married at Cypress Cove.
My wife and I met at work. Neither one of us were nudists at the time. We were both going through divorces and having a tough time with it when we became good friends.
As our relationship developed we realized how much we were in love with each other and got married. That was almost 20 years ago. I really Traded up :-)
About 2 years ago I went through some work trauma that changed my outlook on my personal life. I began hanging around the house naked on a regular basis. The first time she saw me sitting in my recliner naked she asked me why I didn't have any clothes on. I told her"because I can"! Her response to me was "do what you want just sit on a towel"! :-)
As time went by she saw me naked more and more sometimes asking me was I ever going to put my clothes on. Eventually she gave up on that. She was quick to let me know that it wasn't for her........ So she thought!
The more she saw me naked the more she started to feel comfortable with it and the more she started to be convinced that it was a totally acceptable way to live.
She started to get more comfortable with herself and I would see here randomly with less and less on. Now she's totally accepted the lifestyle but she's still "BarelythereAnnie" and has join me in the TN community.
We've even started our business together, nakedbydesignapparel. com where we plan to carry a full line of products for the naturist. She's the artist and web master, I was the visionary with a pad full of notes and drawings. We're having a lot of fun with it, colaborating together and have some great stuff coming in the future.
I can officially say we're nudist couple now! And we both love it.

We met about 12 years ago through a mutual friend, neither of us were nudists but both young and comfortable in our own skin haha so hot tubs, skinny dipping with friends, bumming around the house, there was no label or anything, just what we did. We didn't start seeking out nudist type places or things to do until after we were married really, which was about 5 years ago. Since then we have found a couple beaches we like and a resort we hope to camp at this summer and that's our quick little story. Namaste :)
We met 38 years ago in high school having a coed PE class together, had our first date 38 years ago next month,and were married 35 years ago this summer. I had nudist tendencies all along and she wasnt completely shy walking around the house nude for a bit at times and going topless on a trip to the South Pacific. But it really started about 10 years into our marriage when I was looking into travel destinations and found Caribbean resorts with nude beaches. The idea sounded great to me and I found the nude beaches at Lake Tahoe to try out. My wife was supportive but did not want to participate but did not even blink an eye when I went out in the backyard to lay out nude. Then one year in the late 90s we were planning a vacation to Grand Lido Negril in Jamaica and I asked if we could stay on the nude side of the resort She agreed but she was not going to participate and I was not to pressure her in the slightest. On the second day there she surprised me by walking back to the room and losing the swimsuit. I thought she had gone to use the restroom, instead she walked back out nude and that was the last we saw of the swimsuit. We then returned to Grand Lido three more times and have gone to several other nude resorts and now visit Laguna Del Sol several times each summer. Im still the nudie as she would say but she does participate and every so often will come out in the evening and watch TV nude.
So Ive lucked out marrying my high school sweetheart who has become an incredible woman that I love more than ever and I cant say enough praise of.

She has never really tried nudism before she met me.
I started taking her to the Nudist places around our place and we went to nude beaches on vacation.
She still was a bit shy, but found it exciting somehow.
Recent years, she very rarely took her swimsuit off, she needs to feel really relaxed.
I do hope to convince her to give nudism a new try

Hi we are both brand new to the group - we meet each other 2 years ago and both - secretly - fancied the idea of nudist and now that time is our own and finding out it is something we both fancied doing we have taken the plunge and now looking for nudist clubs and social events in our area to break us in as it were :) we live in the
