Just started working out. Never really had to before but should have anyway to maintain what I had.

I'm running for the first time ever using the Couch 2 5K program. I just finished week one. Anyone have any running tips, especially to stay loose? I noticed even after warming up, my left shin and my shoulders want to tense up, which makes it more difficult to relax and run.
