Hello to all.We have been in the nudist lifestyle for about 4 years now and enjoy it when we can do it legally. Hope to meet more nudist couples in the Myrtle Beach area if we could. We are not swingers, have no interest in that. Looking for friends only. J and R

RE: Just to say hello

Hello! My wife and I enjoy visiting nudist resorts and before we moved to Myrtle Beach used to spend most of our time living a peaceful, low stress life in our secluded 3 acre rural yard in Tennessee. Over the years we have visited Cedar Creek when we were in the area and are planning to move again when we locate a home here in SC like our last one where clothes can be forgotten 24/7/365.

Hello! Does Myrtle Beach have a legal nude beach?

Hi, I've been to Bird Island and it wasn't a comfortable naked experience. Very few nudists, lots of textiles walking past, staring, and generally looking disapproving. Am I missing something? We were right down by the State line. Regards

Unfortunately, there are not lots of nudists there. But there are some. At least with caution you can get naked, but it can be hit or miss.
But at least it is free, unlike clubs.

Ok I saw a post in the group South Carolina Nudist that someone had posted a couple of days ago. I thought I would share it. RE: South Carolina nude beach report updateSince I wrote the post on Bird Island, ownership of the Island has changed and the nudity laws are being enforced. Nudists may still be found since there are plenty of sand dunes for sunbathing out of sight. If you venture into the water, nude, you do risk being ticketed. Enforcement is largely from the Brunswick, NC police in boats.Google "Bird Island, Nude" for info.I thought this might be of interest.

RE: Just to say hello

Last year Sunset Beach Fire Dept rescue personnel patrolled Bird Island on a hit or miss basis. I spoke to several and they weren't out to ticket nudists. As a matter of fact a couple were members of Whispering Pines and suggested I check it out. They were out there because of drownings and sharks. A lot of them would also motor out to Bird Island to take their breaks. There do seem to be less folks getting naked and more walkers, but things may change as we get into the season. On problem is that last year, Ana washed out a big chunk of dunes between the Mailbox and the jetty which was where a lot of folks liked to set up. In that area you are now totally exposed.

Was Whispering Pines any good? What was it like?

RE: Whispering Pines

Whispering Pines is a small but nice nudist resort located near Sunset Beach and the NC/SC state line. I make it a point to visit several times each summer. See locations or google "Whispering Pines, nude.

I've never been to Whispering Pines. My wife won't do social nude stuff, and as a single I don't want to intrude.
