Naked Hiking Routes (UK)

This is a place to share any good (UK) hiking routes that people have done nude. The idea is to create a decent database of walks that others can try out. To post a route, refer to guidance in the 'About' tab.

Hi everyone

This info is in the 'About' tab, but thought I'd repeat it as the first post just to make sure everyone has seen it.

When posting a route, please be as detailed as you can - this will help other hikers figure out exactly how to get to a place, what things to watch out for, etc. Choose a route number for your route to include in post title, and also include the route number in any uploads please. In the post, it will be useful to include the following:

1. Description of route, including where to park and where to start the walk.

2. A route map uploaded in media section - I can't figure out how to do that within the post. To do this, you can take a screenshot in Google maps and edit it in Paint. Don't forget to label the photo with the name/number of the route.

3. Photos of parts of the route - label these in the media section according to what you're naming/numbering the route as. It's OK to have photos with yourself in them, as long as what it's showing is informative about the route (i.e. it shows the scenery or part of the trail).

4. A score out of 10 for how likely it is to meet other walkers on that route (with a score of 0 meaning no chance of meeting, and a score of 10 meaning a high chance of bumping into someone). To help you, try scoring this based on various parameters, for example you can take the average score from the following 3 parameters: - How much advance view do you have on the trail? (wide open expanses & lots of advance warning = 0; wooded trails and lots of corners where people could surprise you = 10).- How many trails cross the route? (no paths crossing = 0; ten or more crossings = 10).- How many people did you meet during your walk? (no one = 0; 10 or more = 10).

5. Which day of the week you did the walk, and what time of year it was.

6. Any other useful information, dos or don'ts.
