The significant reality of the Cross
Return to DiscussionsWhen one looks at the cross of Christ,what do we see?A naked Jew...covered in blood...crowds....our sins paid for...the scribes and Pharisees at the cross,even perhaps the foot of the cross mocking Christ,even Mary weeping and John with her....but we miss one... crucial element.We are in Christ (Gal.2:19,20).We were crucified with Christ .That is reality...It goes right back to Gods creation...Ephes.1:4....we were placed in Christ,to be sentenced to death in Christ ,sentenced to have the Satan Satan nature killed off,and Adams curse destroyed.The same death Christ died,we died,Christ for our sins...we to our sins.The cross was the point of rebirthing us as sons of God...birthing us from the same seed he birthed Christ with.1John 3:9
