The homeless men who gather at the library were going to be forced out into the streets when the library closed even if local shelters were full.
Estevez plays the role of a librarian who was homeless before he was hired for his current position.
There are 2 portions of the film where nudity plays an important role. There is some full frontal nudity but Estevezs nudity is only suggested; viewers see only his bare shoulders.
