where are the good places to go near rochester/buffalo/syracuse?
Return to DiscussionsOccasionally you'll find people at Sterling Nature Preserve down the beach to the right.. Sometimes people hike out 2 miles at Southwick, but granted these are all unofficial... and you need to be concerned about patrols.. We also have a naked men's group here in Syracuse and there is also the Rochester Naturists and Rochester Romens..
There is a new naturist group that just formed in the general Buffalo area. Niagara Naturists. They have had a few meetings and are getting themselves established. I know they have had at least one group trip down to Bare Lake in the Corning NY area. There is Lily Valley in Canada. There is (or was... not sure on this one any more) Stephs Pond in Williamson NY. Brushwood is clothing optional and is in Sherman NY, as is the Chautauqua gorge and a place called The Oxbo. The OX is more by invite only-- you stop at the house near by and talk with the owners. Rochester Naturists and the ROMANS have already been mentioned. Then of course Empire Haven in Moravia NY. A few different places in and around Ithaca (none official, but many used for years). That will get you started!
