Another great day at Johnson Beach !

What we have observed is that what appear to be Textile Camps at Johnson Beach are actually Nudist, hiding from the park ranger . Once we established the neckkid connection, everyone was free to roam the beach. BUT, it would be wise to carry a shirt or towel to cover up, in case you see a 4 wheeler heading your way. The most effective avoidance method is simply to wade into the surf, out of earshot and looking into the sea, ignoring land bound textiles.

Did you go by boat? Parking was an issue the last time we were there and its a long walk otherwise

I will be in the area in July and have looked at this beach on google maps. Is there a specific area that you recommend? Can I get there on foot or is a boat required? Thanks

Johnson Beach is a long sand peninsula that runs for miles from Alabama to Florida. By car, you enter through the ranger station at the West end. We go by boat and land near Ft. McRee on the East end of Big Lagoon, to avoid rough surf.
