Anyone growing hemp?

If you've never heard of the pro-hemp book "The Emperor Wears No Clothes" it's a take on the subject of why this maligned plant became illegal and why it could help to save the world from the oil, gas, coal barons who're doing their best to destroy it.
The reason I bring this up is because I heard a news story just a few days ago where there is a new type of battery being developed that's made out of lignin, one of the many parts of the hemp plant (and many if not all woody plants) that could answer the question of how to keep deforestation down. If I'm remembering correctly, the book suggests a pot farmer can grow twenty times the volume of paper a tree farmer could grow from pine trees in the same time frame! That growth would include lignin production.
Get on the bandwagon for hemp now and reap those untapped benefits!
High as in tall, or high as in you gonna smoke that stuff when it buds out?
I think you can use the terms hemp and marijuana interchangeably now, since they really are the same plant, just different genetic make-up. But the plant products one gets from the two directions are surely NOT interchangeable. I had a friend from the midwest who used to talk about walking home from school passing fields tall with hemp. Adventurous souls who tried to smoke the bud that grew on those plants could toke all day and get nothing but a headache. What a drag!
HEMP FOR VICTORY posters were all over the country during WW2, pushing farmers to grow it for use in naval applications - a plant that had only a few years before been made essentially illegal by the US government due to its medicinal uses.
