Nude gardening
Return to DiscussionsHi there new here
Welcome! Do you garden or do any work in outside in your skin?
Spring is upon most of us and there's work to be done, but we've still got below freezing temps at night here in Virginia's Tidewater so my new cabbage and collard seedlings in the barn under lights will have to wait a little longer. I've got a ton of cilantro there as well but I'm considering going ahead with plopping those little guys in the garden since there's one plant outside that wintered over! I really didn't realize that cilantro could handle below freezing temps for a short period but I'm going to take advantage this year. I put last year's seedlings out so late that they bolted almost immediately. We gonna be deep in that delightful greenery this year!
I just put tomato and pepper seeds in the dirt last week under lights, and the herbs and early plantables begun last months are doing nice in the barn with florescent lighting sixteen hours a day.
Any other positive green stories from you bare planters?
Only started a very simple garden this year. We have the usual tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, watermelon, squash & zucchini. They have been in the ground about two months and doing reasonably well. I have kept them dusted with Sevin powder (the liquid never worked for me) and kept the bugs at bay. Maybe this year well have more than a handful of squash though Im not holding my breath. LOL.
