I love having the warm sun and nice breeze blowing over my body.... I started with friends at around 6 YO skinny dipping and playing naked in the sun..
Sunbathing in the nude is the only way to go in my opinion as well.... Nothing more freeing and you get a great tan lol..
I do all my sunbathing nude. I even avoid the condo pool on sunny days since I have to wear a swimsuit. Spent 3 hours nude in the sun today getting that last bit of all over tan before heading up north for a couple weeks

Have you tried a tan though swimsuit so that you can sun and swim when you can't be naked without getting a tan line? Or do you want to avoid times when you can't br naked in and around the water?
Not the only way for me; just the preferred way. If I start to notice tan lines, I want to get rid of them, though. Just an smooth transition at most.
I've never tested my tan-throughs to the point that I can say one way or another on the tan-throughiness, but I'm dubious that the result would be without lines, especially with the seams. Better to see them as an open, light-weight fabric that's a compromise between nothing and something. I like them best when the obscurification works at about 80%: nothing noticeable to the casual glance, but no doubting what's underneath upon closer inspection.

I agree that the light weight open fabric is an advantage no matter the degree to which they are tan through. Less restricting than normal swimwear, but certainly not as freeing as being nude. I own only tan through swimwear at this time and don't intend to buy anything else in the future.
