When you have to wear a swimsuit

Return to Discussions

Most of us encounter situations where a swimsuit is necessary.
For those of you who actually own swimwear lets's see your most modest swimsuit and the one(s) you usually wear.
These are mine (most modest one first).

RE:When you have to wear a swimsuit

I have 3 all tan through.
4" swimshorts.
2" trunks
Full cut briefs.
Tried tanga but thought it was too revealing for places that required a suit.

The tanga cut is a bold suit. You have to be pretty confidant to wear it on a busy beach!
It does let the sun shine on you.
Lateer,

My tangas are actually tan-through but I wear them because they are much more comfortable than any other suit I have tried and are VERY quick drying to the extent that when I use them in hotel pools they are dry enough to put in my trouser pocket when I am dressed.
I wore them for sunbathing and lunch on the roof terrace of our high class hotel on our recent holiday without any problems - not least from my wife who is much more conservative in dress than i am.

On occasions when I am feeling particularly bold I have worn this semi-transparent g-string for sunbathing at the same hotel.

I like to wear swim breifs with 1" - 1.5" sides at public beaches and pools. This summer coming I'll have white aussiebum briefs that go transparent when wet

RE:When you have to wear a swimsuit

When I have to wear a suit it's usually when I'm surfing or at the beach club we belong to and then it's board shorts and now I'm wearing a rash guard to protect against the sun. Not great for the no tan lines look but I make up for it at home on the back deck. If I'm swimming laps I wear a speedo type suit.

I bought a Brazillion cut bikini when we rented a house in the Bahamas many years ago. We also went on a cruise in Europe a few years ago and I bought a suit over there and they were briefs.

Most definitely a speedo whenever possible, if not nude. I prefer the low rise, 1sides the best. But on conservative beaches I wear retro style swim trunks, they go about mid thigh.

RE:When you have to wear a swimsuit

Speedo-type briefs for lap swimming and most US beaches. Thongs for beaches where they're not forbidden. I do have some trunks for visits with conservative friends. I fortunately do get to skinny-dip a fair amount during the year.

Have you tried tan through suits?
Lighter weight than ordinary suits so they feel less confining and dry faster.
That is the only kind I have at this point.

I don't tan,. Pale northern European skin and at risk for skin cancer. The briefs I wear are unlined and dry quickly anyway, and inexpensive. .
