That's a good question. Me I prefer some dubs like cowboy bebop and trig in. There are animes left to be subbed instead of being dubbed over.

For me - always sub. I find the voice acting for dubs is always overly melodramatic and poorly done. One exception would be the dub of princess mononoke- but how could you fault an all-star line up like Billy Crudup, Gillian Anderson, etc.

I know I'm in the minority but I much prefer dubbed anime. It allows me to really get immersed into the show without have to concentrate on subtitles because and really pay attention to the visuals.

It depends on how i am feeling when i am watching anime. there are times when i wanna just relax a little and not have to worry about keeping up with subtitles. But, there are times when I am excited and focused enough to watch high action sub anime!

Now prepare for a very unpopular opinion....
(I know this isn't strictly speak an anime but..)
I couldn't watch the Last Air Bender because it sounds like it's a Japanese show that's dubbed by Americans. I know that it's originally an American show and not a Japanese anime but it just sounds like it was and I just couldn't listen to the dubbing
