This group is dedicated to nudist whom have a nudist sign posted on or near their front door. Posting a nudist sign is a great way to advise all guests and visitors you are a nudist, and you will open the door nude. My personal experience has been totally positive. Please share your experiences and suggestions.

Return to DiscussionsI think joining this group and seeing other's ideas will help me decide on the perfect sign to post. Currently, I'm sharing the home of a Non-nudist friend. But with plans of getting into my own place, I've long contemplated posting a tastefully designed notice on my door indicating that I'm a NUDIST. All here share the frustration of putting on a pair of shorts or grabbing a robe just to appease another (adult's) discomfort with seeing another (adult) in the nude. It doesn't make sense that I should change the way I live for someone who has chosen to enter onto my property to solicit and/or visit uninvited. Of course, there are times when I do invite another's visit, solicitation, or delivery of something. As much as I hate wearing clothes, the last thing I want to do is offend or cause someone to feel uncomfortable. So, I'm thinking of posting a notice that lets the VISITOR/SOLICITOR make the decision. While this is not the exact wording or means to communicate the message, in essence, this will be the message.
RING THE DOORBELL = A NUDE NUDIST (OR) LOUDLY KNOCK = A CLOTHED NUDIST

Naked Greetings! I'm pleased to hear you're planning on posting a nudist home sign on your front door in the near future. I believe you'll find, as I have, it's a perfect way to let all visitors and guests know you live nude. Having a sign posted lets the visitor and/or guest make the decision if they want to speak with the nude homeowner, prior to knocking or ringing the bell. I've had a nudist sign posted for nearly 10 years, and I have had NO issues with answering the door nude. In fact, I've had several guests who thanked me for the warning. It seems most non-nudist prefer to have prior notice of the homeowners nudism, as opposed to being greeted unexpectedly by a nude person answering the door. We have a sign in the drive way the reads" You will encounter nudity beyond this point" . We have had it about two years and its worked out good. We also tell visitors/service people that we are nudists as before they agree to do work , so we always answer the door nude. Due to our location we don't really get unexpected visitors.
