Return to DiscussionsI live in a small lake side community, where 60% of the residents are summer only people. My neighbours as such residents. A few days ago I was on my computer and decided to get a coffee. As I stood up I looked out my window and was surprised to see them watching me from their window. I did not know they had come out to the lake. So I got my coffee, returned to my computer and noticed they were still there. The next day I had an opportunity to say hi to them. I explained I was a nudist and that if they were offended by my nudity, I could close my blinds. They said I did not have to do that and said they didn't want me to change my lifestyle for them. They also asked me if it was ok if they watched me once in a while, I said it was fine as I was a nudist and used to people seeing me naked. Now when we see each other, they wave to me and I wave hello back to them. It is great having neighbours like that.Has anyone been caught off guard and have it turn out so great?
I live in a neighborhood in a subdivision and am nude in my backyard vey often. I work, sun, and just enjoy the day relaxing in my yard. I have been seen by my neighbor, but they never said anything about it, so I didn't push the topic and all has been well. The only issue is my wife...she is not accepting of the nudist lifestyle and I cannot be naked outside while with her. She has more issue with my nudeness than my neighbor. She also does not know I have been seen by them.
Miev,How great to have neighbors with that kind of an attitude! I'm glad it worked out that way for you. I recently moved to Arizona and will soon be moving into my new home that has full privacy walls in the back yard, and a pool. I look forward to being able to hang out nude in my back yard as well as do my gardening back there naked!Scott
I am the last house on a dead street with 2 neighbors to my surprise the couple next door to me is cool about my nudityand let's me enjoy my backyard the woman across the street catches me about once a month geting my sunday paper she just waves

i have also had a lovely experiences with all of my neighbours i live in a small enclosed group of houses (something similar to a cul-de-sac but not quite). my kitchen window, (which has blinds that i never close), looks out onto the path where most people have to walk to get to their houses.
so most of my neighbours (if not all of them) would have seen me naked which includes the nearest neighbours who are a husband and wife have to walk right passed my window to get to their house, and as is customary, at the first opportunity after getting 'caught' i offered my apologies about my state of undress, and explained that i am a naturist/nudist, although rather obnoxiously i never offered to dress or to close the blinds.
they were very nice and said they are fine with it, and since then i have often had conversations with them while i am stood at my open front door and even the once when i wasn't expecting it the wife came round my house asking if i minded helping her with a chore which i was perfectly happy to do especially as i was completely naked from before she arrived until after she left and for the rest of the day.
i cannot put into words the sensations that went through me at that moment she was only there for about 15 minutes but i had to contain myself (I'm talking obviously about the butterflies in my stomach, behave people lol), which was difficult because at one point she put her hand around me like we were companions, and not one textile neighbour with a naturist naked neighbour.
I have had a chain link fence at my house. Since moving in 30 years ago. A few yrs. back I had a Bright idea to add wood slats to the metal pipe. I started with one board at a time. In my mind I was going to be nude eventually. Oh one day , put up another board, Oh one day. That is how it went for 6 months to a year. Then I shiplapped the boards so no one could see in. Oh what a great naked Day . It is all done. Every time I went outside no textiles. This went on for a yr. Then I heard "the sound" of construction behind the house. OK no problem ,right till I went out and found the construction workers, up at the point they now can look in the back yard. Then you start to note that they are building a little high. OH a "Two story addition". Oh Fu*&, What my naked time, is all gone! The next yr. I said to my self, Self you where nude first. So I go naked . Out My backyard Naked. I -Win for Once. I Hope! Lol
Ok got another story. My father-in-law, was a general contractor. He built his house on a great spot. Across the street was the athletic field, for a school. No one could look into his back yard or at his pool. So yrs. go by, now they close the school and sell to a apartment complex. He was not happy. So every time he went to jump into his pool naked. He would give the hand signal for everyone looking. To f-off LOL
