Why not start by making nudity legal everywhere? It's just skin. We all have it. What harm can really be done by showing it?

for me it's arkansas's anti nudism laws..i want these changed so that people can create nudist resorts and clubs without fear of violating the law...plus i'm moving there this yr or next yr.

most states have laws making you a sexual predator if arrested and prosecuted, how doesbeing a nudisthave anything to do with being a sexual predator that should be changed first. states and federal parks should have designated nude areas in parks think of the revenue as for the perverts they are already there and the nudist will police them and actually make the parks safer

I would like to see all nudity laws overturned, but it will probably be a
long time before that happens. There are currently some laws that seem
especially unfair, for example the Texas Administrative Code, Title 31,
Section 59.134(n) contains this regulation relating to conduct in state
parks, which seems to have been adopted only recently:

"Public Nudity. It is an offense for any person to disrobe or appear nude in
public. Females are considered to be disrobed when their breasts below
the top of the areola are exposed except when nursing a baby."

Not only is the rule extremely vague (e.g., is a person wearing a thong
considered to be nude?), but applying a special rule to females only
would seem to be a flagrant violation of the Texas Equal Rights
Amendment. Previous Texas laws against nudity applied the same
definitions to men and women.
The Equal Rights clauses of Article I of the Texas Constitution state:
Sec.3. EQUAL RIGHTS. All free men, when they form a social compact, have
equal rights, and no man, or set of men, is entitled to exclusive
separate public emoluments, or privileges, but in consideration of
public services.
Sec. 3a. EQUALITY UNDER THE LAW. Equality under
the law shall not be denied or abridged because of sex, race, color,
creed, or national origin. This amendment is self-operative.

It seems silly to me that it is okay to show ones breast if feeding but it is offensive to show the breast if one is not feeding. Why?

actually i think there are a few states i think arkansas is one of them that a nudist resort is not legal. i think vermont and oregon are the leaders in public nudity, others need to follow their lead.

RE: Why illegal?

Thats horrible about Arkansas. I own a bunch of land over there and its way back in the woods on the edge of the Eleven Point river. I never knew about the state laws on nudity until Cheri mentioned them to me. What a waste that I had all this land left to me and I cant use it as a nudist getaway. I know the game wardens and the only Sherriff for about 50 miles around. I wouldnt forsee any problems but I guess I wouldnt want to push the limits. After all, I have watched Deliverance. Some of them good ole country boys aint so good.
