lots of groups out there that people are just joining, this is for being a part of. real conversation.

Today is always better than yesterday

Return to Discussions

This is my thought for the day, for the simple reason that if it where not for yesterday today would not have come into play. Just think of the worst day you have had and it is good to have that day, without that bad day what would a great day be compared too. I know it is a far feched theory, but it helps me through alot of bad days knowing that next day will be a better one. The cold weather is opon us here in wisconsin, ( 30's F. ) but knowing that it is getting colder means to me that i get to enjoy the warmth of a realy good blanket in front of the tv, or in bed for that matter. Tall Boy.
If any one wants to talk just in emails please let me know and i will give out that address. I love talking about pretty much any thing. ha ha ha when i am not working that is.

RE: Today is always better than yesterday

Please don't take this wrong... It reminds me of the Spaceballs scene where Lord Helmut and Col. Sandurz are going through the video of the movie, see themselves in real time, and the conversation goes something like:
- What are we looking at?
- We're looking at now!
- What you mean, now?
- We are looking at whatever is happening now. Anything we see at this moment is happening right now.
- What about before?
- That came before. Now, we are looking at now...
I don't know the exact words, but I love the scene everytime I see it!

RE: One day at a time

If this continues, we'll have to form a group for Spaceballs fans. Or maybe Mel Brooks fans.

space balls

I do agree with all the posts about the love for the movie space balls, although lets not stop at that movie with favorit lines that make you laugh. Thist post is to get all to talk about what they want and not just to belong to another groop. I myself love the movie and these two parts are my favorit.
Colonel Sandurz : Lord Helmet
Dark Helmet: What?
Colonel Sandurz :You are needed on the bridge sir
Dark Helmet:Knock on my door! Knock next time!
Colonel Sandurz : Yes, sir!
Dark Helmet: Did you see anything?
Colonel Sandurz : No, sir! I didn't see you playing with your dolls again.
Dark Helmet: GOOD!
....................................................................................
Colonel Sandurz:Try here. Stop.
Dark Helmet:What the hell am I looking at? When does this happen in the movie?
Colonel Sandurz:Now. You're looking at now, sir. Everything that happens now, is happening now.
Dark HelmetWhat happened to then?
Colonel Sandurz:
We passed then.
Dark Helmet:When?
Colonel Sandurz:Just now. We're at now now.
Dark Helmet:Go back to then.
Colonel Sandurz:When?
Dark Helmet:Now.
Colonel Sandurz:Now?
Dark Helmet:Now.
Colonel Sandurz:I can't.
Dark Helmet:Why?
Colonel Sandurz:We missed it.
Dark Helmet:When?
Colonel Sandurz:Just now.
Dark Helmet:When will then be now?
Colonel Sandurz:Soon.
Dark Helmet:How soon?
Ok enough of that, ha ha ha. Any way love this page because every one can say something, that is the point..

RE: space balls

Maybe I should get this thread back on topic by quoting another movie...

"Tomorrow, tomorrow, there's always tomorrow. It's only a day away."

Ha! Ha!

Did you watch the bonus features that come with the DVD? Mel Brooks talks about how, at some point, after the "It's twue"line, the sheriff says something to the effect of, "Ma'm, that's my arm."

But the censors wouldn't allow it, so it had to be removed before it was shown in theatres.

Also, Hedy Lamar (the real one) wanted to sue for the use of her name in the movie. Mel Brooks said, "Pay her off!"

But to get back to one day being better than the next, I'll simply quote this from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer:

"There's always tomorrow for dreams to come true,
Believe in your dreams come what may."

... and furtheron...

"Tomorrow is not far away." Or something like that.
