Going Nude In The Philippines
Return to DiscussionsI personally enjoy going nude most anywhere I want, many girls into nude pictures jump out in the middle of the street getting naked pictures in front or with some of the colorful Jeepnees or at landmarks and never have any problems. You see even when they say it is against the law there is seldom any law officials will enforce that law. I have seen old ladies walk nude down the street and bath in the ocean and walk back to where they live no problems. Stay away from tourist trap places or at least no longer than to shoot a few photo shots. Use common sense find more remote parts of the beaches, I know many different places where teens play nude in the ocean beaches just to stay cool or play beach ball, they are the same kids who been playing naked from childhood. Just don't draw attention and avoid anything that looks sexual in public. You can ask where nudity is tolerated and don't draw a crowd. As stated nudity is not a big panic thing in a simple nudity kind of thing, but ask the gal/person from there they will guide you usually a no brainer lol enjoy.
That is very refreshing to hear about the situation in the Philippines. I have been fortunate enough to have taken some Filipino tourists to nude beaches in Western Australia and found that they very quickly want to experience the joy of being nude despite their conservative culture. They very soon realize that their natural beauty is respected and appreciated by the regular nude beach patrons.
Pearl, your story is amazing. My wife, our daughter, and I were stationed at Clark Air Base at Angeles City from September 1987- April 1991, leaving one week after Mt Pinatubo became active and, luckily, before the eruption. Our son, who served in the Air Force as well, also came to Clark on temporary duty while we were there.
Unfortunately, we werent exposed to nudism but I can imagine beautiful Filipinas and Filipinos playing nude on the beaches and in the surf. The climate is perfect for nudism where the less one wears (ideally nothing at all) the more comfortable he/she will be unless needed for safety against hazardous materials.

I was 6 weeks in the Philippines Feb and early March this year and I did not find any problems to find places to be nude. Just some common sense and healthy discretion helps. A remote, relatively empty beach - or just empty beach is good enough. In particular Siquijor and Palawan had such, so no need to worry about developing tan lines.
I'm Geoff, an expat Aussie living in Mindanao with my Filipina wife Helly.
I'm nude at home a lot, Helly only very rarely. She did mention that she swam naked in the river in Bukidnon with the local kids when she was in elementary school. Where we live it's not really possible to go nude outside, but it is true that there are lots of remote locations where outdoor nudity would be possible.
I also remember when we lived in Cebu for a short time, we saw a group of young children playing completely naked on a median strip on one of the main roads in Cebu City. Outdoor naked play and bathing for children is not unusual, but adult bathing behavior is very conservative, to the point that my wife still usually wraps herself in a towel to go to the bathroom, and leaves her panties on under the towel. She also still wears clothes to bed, and around the house as well, while complaining "Init kaayo"... "It's really hot". As for me, the extent of my attire at home is a pair of boxer shorts only, and then only when we have our doors and windows and curtains open, or we have visitors.
I have to admit I have occasionally bathed nude in the rain out the back of our house at night if there is a thunderstorm! Delightful!

My wife & I run a simple bed & breakfast place in Dipolog, Mindanao, Philippines. The year-round hot & sunny climate makes clothing an unnecessary bother.
I never wear anything in or around our own very private secluded swimming pool, unless we have local guest visitors here, who might be upset. Generally speaking, Filipinos are very modest & shy; nudity here is really counter-cultural.
However, our own rather expensive B&B prices are aimed more at foreigners, rather than local guests, so we've welcomed many visitors from Germany, France, UK etc who are all happy to be naked in or around our pool.
