Return to DiscussionsMy sister is cutting down on her beach time due to skin cancer concerns, so we agreed to do other things together this summer.
My son doesn't want his son to go to the beach this summer because of the Covid situation.
Since I generally go to the nude beach unless I am going with one of them, I have a good shot at going nude every time I go to the beach this summer.
Unfortunately, or son also doesn't want our grandson to go to summer camp this year, so I will be wearing a swimsuit in our pool a lot more than usual.
That was my hope, too but things changed.
First our son's girlfriend moved in with us for " a few months until they could find an apartment." She got fired, he was laid off and she wound up staying 3 years until they broke up.
Our grandson started spending most of the summer with us since his mother (a prior relationship than the above girlfriend) and stepfather and other grandmother all have full time jobs. Other years, he went to day camp so I still got a lot of nude time, but this year, with Covid around, he is not going.
Over the past 2 1/2 years, I have gotten rid of all of my swimwear except one pair of short tan through swim shorts.
Probably going to toss the trunks when our grandson leaves to go back to school.
Owning no swimwear for 6 months or so seems more appealing every time I think of it.

Grandson went home Saturday, but my wife invited a friend for a swim today.
Glad I didn't toss the swimsuit yet!

Actually went the other way and bought a tan through swim brief also. I know I will need 2 swimsuits when I travel. Also allows me to wear something briefer when our grandson or other frequent visitors are here. Plus, it can double as underwear for doctor's appointments, etc., so I was able to get rid of the one pair I had!

Unless you need different styles of swimsuit for different locations then one tan-through will be quite sufficient. They can dry in less time than it takes to rinse them.

The new one is very brief and there will be some places where I might not be comfortable wearing it.
While I didn't say so at first, I will wear the brief one when our grandson or another frequent visitor is here.
However, if we have a pool party, I would likely wear the swim shorts.
