Return to DiscussionsI have little experience with nudism, but so far I've noticed that being nude makes me feel more like a man. I mean, I always feel like a man but being nude helps. I'm very much into being healthy and doing what I can, short of medication, to keep my testosterone up. Testosterone is the best anti-depressant in the world, and I dig it very much. A by-product of this is that I have erections from time to time, including the very few times I've hung out nude with other men. After a few minutes, it goes away....until the next time it happens. Here's my point: I'm not having an erection because I'm trying to have sex with anyone. Im not trying to call any attention to myself. I have them because I'm a man, I dig being man, and I have them! I think any real hetero nude men's group would be familiar with this issue, and what it means, and thus would welcome it within a set of ground rules and boundaries.
I agree with you BeastieBud. When Im at in the bathhouse part of a Korean spa surrounded by several other males it does feel like my testosterone levels goes up. The Korean spas have gender separated locker rooms with a bathhouse in each. All in the bathhouse part of the locker room are required to be nude. It is family facility. In the male bathhouse which is in the male locker room you have males of all ages in there all nude. Sometimes some males do get an erection from time to time. It never seems to be anything to be concerned about, ashamed about and none should feel embarrassed about it. But also none should be trying to bring attention to oneself either. No one ever seems to care like it is no big deal or even seems to notice if someone gets an erection. I have gotten one before while in there when I first got there while taking a shower. It was like as soon as the water hit my body my penis began to grow erect. I continued with my shower and went on my normal way to then sit in a hot tub no stress no worries. Enjoying the nude male camaraderie and feeling the male energy around me. Being around other nude males does make me feel more alive and gives me a better overall mental health wellbeing feeling. Feeling more accepted and relaxed is good and healthy but also may cause a male to be more prone to have semi erection and or full erections. The Korean spa also offers full body scrub. I have had gotten them several times while going there. Every time I get a semi erection and many other men get them too when getting a body scrub. The scrub is done only behind a short wall so any males walking by in the bathhouse can see and watch them being done by an employee of the spa. They know many males will get an erection and are a natural thing when getting a full body scrub as well as if a male was getting a full body massage so no need for the staff member to say anything about it. It is like okay he got an erection so what keeps doing his job as if he never noticed the customer got an erection. We should have less worries about a normal male body function and relax more when ever being nude. I believe we should have less shame and be more accepting of our fellow males who are nude when getting an erection. It is best when males get together nude enjoy the fellowship, camaraderie and feel more connected with other males in the spirit of true brotherhood.

Absolutely agree with you. There's a lot of shaming around erections, and it's not just in the typically straight nudist world. Erections happen. So what?! If any man is aggressive about showing his, that's a different story. Last week on a video chat with a good nudist friend, I got an erection, and he saw it. He just said "Are you just that happy to see me?" We laughed. Then he got one. We laughed. AND THEN WE MOVED ON!! We're both gay, but neither one of us is looking for that kind of fun. We were just talking about life and erections happened. I admire men like miev123 who show their erections often on this site. He helps normalize erections. He gives me courage to share mine if an erection happens while I'm taking pictures!
