The Innocence Of Nudity In History

The purpose of this group is to create a gallery of photos and art as a throwback to a simpler time when nudity and the human body were accepted in society and appreciated rather than demonized. A place where the innocence of the naked human form was considered as a normal part of society and not shunned or condemned. This is not a group for you to post your personal pictures unless they are...

It's fun to see which ones you all like the most.

I love these vintage nude photographs. It's nice to see that being nude has been pastime for so long. I've "liked" many of the pics and will make some comments too. I hope everyone keeps sharing these wonderful pieces of our past. Thank you to all who have posted.

WOW!!!! I'm just blown away by all the black and white photos. They remind me of the Nudist magazines from the early 60's that my Dad brought into our house, which was first "exposure" to seeing the naked female body, at the age of 9. I was intrigued by the hair that women had in their groan area and surprised to see that they were missing a penis. (I had no idea what there was under that bushy hair.) I thought that the only physical difference between male and female was that women had boobs and guys didn't.
It was interesting seeing all the swimming photos of both boys and girls, nude vs bathing suits. The looks on their faces said that this was normal. I was wondering if any women rebelled and wanted to swim nude like the boys did? Or if any boys wanted to wear swim trunks. I would have wanted to do so then. (but I'm glad that I don't wear them now.)
Thanks for all your hard work in finding interesting photos to post!!!
PS. I wonder if we'll ever get back to the full bush look?
