While on vacation, I took a solo trip to check this place out. It is difficult to reach and you do need to be moderately athletic.

1. Coming south from Bellingham, it is the first pullout on the right that has a tree island in the middle of it. (Road on the left, separator of trees in the middle, pullout to the right).

2. The path I used was on the far right side (looking toward the bay) of the park area. You are standing 100+ feet above the beach where you park.

3. There are at least 3 ropes you use to "rappel" down the steep slope. I wore hiking sandals and had a backpack and was able to make it down.

4. Once down, you come out of the woods facing the railroad tracks and the beach. Find the end of the fence and cross the tracks as long as no train is coming!! (And I saw 2-3 trains during my few one-hour visits.).

5. The beach looks like it gets used often for small (or large?) parties of like-minded people. I had it to myself on a weekday in July both times I visited. There is makeshift furniture made of rocks and logs. There are several gathering areas with natural fire pits. You get plenty of rock and gravel and beach and coastal scenery. I grabbed a chill-out spot on the big rocks and watched the world go by. For me, it was a worthwhile adventure! For the hearing-enabled: You will be able to hear trains coming from up/down the coast. There is plenty of terrain to get behind if you don't want to flash the whole train during your adventure.

6. It is not labeled "Nude Beach Here" or anything similar. The only reason I knew about it was searching TrueNudists. (Thanks, community!). I don't know if camping is allowed or not.
