Studland Beach

Beautiful sandy dunes and a huge beach near Poole well worth the journey on a sunny day
Studland Beach
Return to DiscussionsStudland is deserved of its fame, a film-star of a beach - (featured in many movies!)
It's a huge beach - at least 7 miles long; a sweeping curve of gently shelving sand and small stones all the way.
Above the beach are some sand-dune bits, where kids play - and older men do what they shouldn't do; but its all safe and peaceful!
There's no special rules, but very few visitors wear any clothes. At least in summer time.
Some visitors would retreat into the higher sand dunes, for a bit of extra privacy; when I was younger, I and my brother would hunt around to find some couples, too busy with each other, to be bothered by secret observers lurking nearby...
If you want real true privacy, go hire a hotel bedroom!
