I was down in San Diego last week, made it to blacks beach twice. Very awesome and relaxing. A couple of recommendations. Ensure you bring water, the hike up is nearly 300 steps and some are huge steps. Being hydrated is a must. Wear shoes you can get wet as I and like 3 others on the second day got hit in the foot by stingrays. That resulted in about 6 hours of pain and swelling that is starting to go down, but still slightly swollen after 3 days. I think a decent water shoe would have prevented my sting. and next time I will be prepared.
I was there on a Tuesday and Thursday and it was not crowded. A few fellow nudists enjoying the sun. the ones who I say hello to, were talkative enough and nice. Hope you can meet up with some cool people. I look forward to returning.
