Naked on the trail

Return to Discussions

I've done some search and the deepcreekhotsprings. net website seems to say it's all fine to be hiking naked from the parking lot all the way to DCHS
But I found a video - with truenudists on vimeo that says it's better to cover up.
Anyone has experience with this?
We are looking at going there potentially this Saturday.

RE:Naked on the trail

I have always hiked the trail nude. I used to carry shorts in case I needed to cover up. For the past 10 years I don't even worry about it anymore. No one seems to be bothered by it.

A late answer but... that's the way I hike to and from as well as many others from our groups who go. Others saw me on the way in. I talked to them in one of he pools.. They then decided to hike out nude as well. Slower me started out before them and they passed me about a third out. They thank me for helping them chose after they saw me come in.

RE:Naked on the trail

It's been a long time since I last visited Deep Creek and Bowen Ranch. I understand there's a new campground next to, or in the same place as Bowen Ranch (not sure how that all lies). For a few years, I visited often, I would usually get naked upon arrival at Bowen Ranch and stay naked for as many days and nights as I was able to be there, at the ranch, on the trails, and at the springs. I usually carried a lightweight pair of shorts in my pack, "just in case", but I never once needed them. A few times, I left the ranch with nothing at all, except water, and maybe a camera.
