I read elsewhere that the park service is considering aban on tents at Gunny. Not sure what the definition of a"tent" is. Does it include those sun shelters? Hasanyone else heard anything about this?

Yes, tents, or four sided enclosures, have been banned from Gunnison Beach. I was there a few Sundays ago, and I saw Park Rangers approach two separate groups who where putting up there tent and were informed of the new rule.
