About San Gregorio Beach

San Gregorio Beach, located in scenic Half Moon Bay, CA, is a haven for those who embrace the naturist lifestyle. This clothing-optional beach is famed for being the first public nude beach in the United States. Established in 1967, it offers a secluded atmosphere where privacy and natural beauty prevail.

The beach stretches over a mile of pristine coastline, providing ample space for sunbathing, picnicking, and socializing in the nude. The cliffs that flank San Gregorio create a natural barrier from the wind, making it an ideal spot for those who prefer the naturist, or FKK, way of life. It's important to note that while nudity is tolerated on the beach, visitors should always be respectful of others and mindful of local regulations.

Amenities at San Gregorio include a parking lot close to the beach, though it does come with a fee. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own supplies, as there are no shops or restaurants on site. The rustic setting means that it’s all about the natural environment here, with driftwood sculptures often adorning the beach, crafted by creative visitors.

Whether you seek tranquility or a friendly community of like-minded nudists, San Gregorio Beach offers a unique escape into nature's embrace, where the waves and the warm sun welcome everyone just as they are.
