Whenever I write I always try to be as respectful as I can, even when I'm writing to disagree with something or to someone who loves to disagree with me. I'd rather have fewer enemies than friends.
Unfortunately, not everybody agrees with this way of doing things, andsome people can use very vitriolic language.
If this happens on this site, the best policy is to reportthe offenderA.S.A.P. Ifthe offenderisn't reported, nothing will be done.
Now, playing the Devil's advocate for a little while: It MAY be an honest mistake onthatperson'spart. That person may honestly think you are someone who has harassed him or her in the past. Still, EVEN IF THIS WAS THE CASE, instead of being so vicious, that person could block and report the member instead.
On the other hand, some people like to stir up trouble for nothing. That's how they get their thrills. It happened to me some time ago somewhere else. At first I took the bait and our rows seemed to take on a life oftheir own. When I finally realised I was fueling her viciousness, I pulled back. Eventually, other people also had enough and shefound herself isolated andleft the site.
Here, there is an owner who should be able to take the appropriate action. Just be sure the person is reported quickly so the owner hears your side of the story.
