I really hate the term "nudist" as it implies that a person hates clothing and would prefer to be naked 24/7. Imagine driving to work nude, sitting at your office desk nude, grocery shopping nude, standing in line at the DMV nude, WTF? There are profiles here where people refer to themselves as "home nudists" because they don't get dressed while doing household chores. Whatever. I guess there are people who only ever get naked when they bathe and have sex, so for them, it's exciting to walk around the house naked.
I prefer the term "naturist", which I think implies being natural in nature. When the sun is shining and it's hot outside, it seems perfectly normal to take your clothes off and enjoy the day. Because of some ancient religious beliefs, exposing your genitals is considered taboo, and even illegal in many parts of the U.S. Indecent exposure!
Although nudity is not illegal in most national parks, I still try to be discrete and out of view because I know some people are offended. Fortunately, I live in a place where it's fairly easy to find isolated areas and hidden beaches where there are no people to gawk at me.
As a single straight man, I resent the idea that I'm some kind of sexual predator. So if your profile reads "No single men!" (and you're reading this) go FUCK OFF! Another thing that really annoys me are all the fake profiles, the profiles that have no pics, no info and were created 3 days ago. Why are they here?
