I'm a dad of two amazing sons; now that they are young adults and I'm not wholly focused on meeting the needs of my family, I've found the space I needed to look inward, be open and vulnerable. Reflection has led me to a place where I've finally come to grips with feelings, needs and personal objectives I'd been denying myself for years. Naturism is one of these and it's deeply rooted in my love of the outdoors, and of people.
As a kid and young adult, I loved being out in nature nude but had no one in my life like me to share this feeling of freedom. My nudist experience then was a solo one; I'd escape to the mountains and river valleys and find off-trail a private warm rock or beach to spread out on and enjoy nature while being natural myself, but I always longed for companions to share those wonderful spaces and moments with.
It took me decades, but in 2019 I finally discovered my inner public nudist thanks to a friend introducing me to Vancouver's fabulous Wreck Beach. I felt at home immediately and only wasted a brief moment wondering why I had waited all these years - there's too much life left to live for regrets. Discovering TN was a happy surprise and I've been blessed by a number of online and in-person friendships as a result.
If you are or will be in the Vancouver area and would like to arrange a beach or other get together, drop me a note! And, even if we must be clothed, I'm always keen to meet up and run with other street or trail runners.

Who I'd like to meet
Other local or visiting gay, bisexual or simply open and interesting men that are similarly interested in sharing themselves and their stories, and building friendships or more. I'm also open to meeting couples of any gender and sexuality; what matters most is friendship and personal connection. Running friends are also awesome - let's hit the streets or trails together!
Moto: I'd rather be outside. An incongruous dad-bod yet capable distance runner, I love to lace up and get sweaty. It not running you may find me exploring our mountains, walking the seawall, and of course enjoying the spaces at Wreck Beach. I'm simply happier feeling the sun on my skin or wind on my face, clothes or not. I'm a tech and public safety consultant, volunteer in social services, pretty decent cook, bread baker, lifelong learner and am always curious about the world and the people who make it interesting. I'm into open sharing in conversation over coffee, beach time, or a refreshing drink, and, in these pandemic days, through any of the internet tools we have access to. Let's be vulnerable and get to know one another.
The book is usually better but I'll take in anything from challenging film festival titles to cheesy espionage thrillers as a distraction.
Eclectic tastes are all over the map and range from Neil Young to Metric, Blue Rodeo to Wheezer, Tokyo Police Club to Dylan, classic rock to alternative and some punk. Bowie. Freddie Mercury and Queen at Wembley. Gord Downie was a poet. I'd love your suggestions, and am probably singing when others aren't listening.
Anyone making the effort to be their best selves while being kind to others.
