About hughlie
I am 62 years old and proud of it, although it does seem a bit surreal, especially if I have to write it! I have a youthful approach to life and have tried never to lose my sense of fun and silliness, as hopefully one or two of my photos show. It seems the older you get the easier it is to do something silly! I have been a vegetarian and a Naturist most of my life, both aspects are very important to me and part of who I am. I enjoy most things domestic (except ironing maybe that is why I am a naturist!), but gardening will always win over housework and I will always choose to be outdoors as I am a very keen gardener and have green fingers. My garden was my saviour during lockdown even if too overlooked to work and sunbathe naked. I am told I am a good cook (strictly vegetarian) at least nobody has died as far as I know! I'm definitely comfortable in my own skin and enjoy being naked indoors and outdoors. I have no pets, but am more a dog person as I have a cat allergy.
I enjoy trips to the beach, mainly Shoreham, Brighton, Climping or Eastney, as they are closest, but love Studland when time permits. I have been to Vera Playa in Spain many times over the years, and can remember when there were hardly any buildings, but I guess you call that progress. Otherwise I also enjoy visits to places such as the clothing optional days at various gardens and anywhere I can go to enjoy being naked with others. I am a memeber of a naturist swim in Ewell, Surrey with Noah's Ark ( https://noahsark.jimdofree.com/ ) and also enjoy some of the BN events and outings they organise. I am a member of BN and would encourage anyone who is not a member but who enjoys the freedom of being naked to join. I have also taken part in the London and Brighton world naked bike rides a few times in the past and was one of the 60 or so who did the first London one around Hyde Park, was it really that long ago!
I live in Crawley, West Sussex and enjoy exploring the lovely villages, countryside and country pubs all around me, and its not far to get naked on a beach when the weather allows. It is also just a short local bus ride to Gatwick when going on holiday!
I am a proud European and staunchly anti Brexit. My political views are left of centre and I hate the Tories with a passion. If you are pro-Brexit or vote Tory we are unlikely to get on.
So in summary - a green fingered, left of centre, vegetarian, europhile, naturist seeking a similar or compatible soulmate!

Who I'd like to meet
You can never have too many friends (except when writing Christmas Cards!), but Im really looking for that special someone for a LTR. Ideally with another Naturist and a vegetarian or someone who is at least vegetarian friendly. Non-smoker. Ideally around my age or younger (30s to late 50's). Someone comfortable in their skin and being naked and also both financially and emotionally secure. I realise all of us have some baggage. Applicants form an orderly queue!! Always glad to make new friends, both here in the UK and abroad, and would happily re-locate for the right person, especially somewhere hot and sunny like Spain, France, Italy, Mediterranean generally, the USA, Caribbean or Australia.
My Interests
Many and varied. Gardening (I have green fingers). Cooking (strictly vegetarian) and entertaining. Walking, swimming, badminton, yoga, cycling, home making, furniture restoration and upcycling, boot sales and antique fairs, sunbathing and anything which involves being naked! Watching TV and Films, Cinema and Theatre. Going for a meal, drink or coffee with friends. Days out to Gardens and places of interest like National Trust. Surrounded by the beautiful Sussex countryside, and lots of lovely country pubs.
Movies
FILMS: I have a large DVD collection. Not into films which are too violent or frightening. So no horror and not a big Sci-fi fan either. I prefer romances, comedies, films with a feel good factor and have a happy ending, although I realise lifes not always like that - mores the pity! I am more Driving Miss Daisy than Fast & Furious!
Music
I have a very eclectic taste in music, I either like something or I don't, with a varied CD collection and selection on my iPod. I love musicals, pop, Eurovision, some jazz, classical and choral music (I have sung bass in choirs) and some am dram musicals in my young days. I also enjoy karaoke and have even had compliments for my efforts. Favourite artists include Queen, Lighthouse Family, Elton John, Pet Shop Boys and Billy Joel. It is fair to say that I am not into grime, rap, hip-hop and modern stuff. More Stormy Weather than Stormzy!
My Heroes
From a personal perspective it would be my maternal grandparents. My grandfather who I never knew was a pilot in the First World War. He survived only to die a few years later in 1927 from Tuberculosis at the young age of 28 when my mother was just a year old. My grandmother led a colourful life and was a bit of a free spirit. She was married and widowed 3 times (and had several near misses in between.!). She lived to 93 never giving up looking for husband number 4! She even wrote in to appear on Blind Date but didnt get to go on.Generally I admire people who fight for what they believe in. Be it the right to be naked or live the lifestyle they choose, on environmental issues trying to save the planet we live on or for more fundamental freedoms against terrorism and tyranny.
