New peated Islay

I had the pleasure of trying Lagavulin 16-year Islay malt scotch over the holiday. It was delicious! Warning: that much smoked peated malt takes some time to enjoy.

Lagavulin 16 is my favorite Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey.... I've been drinking it for quite some time . It's a bit pricey here in the US but the 12 and 16 are readily available. No ice with just a tiny splash of water to open up all of that wonderful peat. Not many of my friends enjoy Islay's so I don't have to share very much..... LOL !
