Lot 5 Question

First thank you for the add to the group. My girlfriend and I are hoping to got to Apollo for the first time in March, we have read in several newer reviews online that the parking lot is clothing optional since signs were put up back by lot four warning of nude bathers ahead. While we would prefer to leave our clothes in the car we are also not looking do anything illegal. So we were hoping to get an answer here if it is ok or not? Thank you.

RE:Lot 5 Question

No parking lots at Cape Canaveral National park are clothing optional. You must cover-up until you reach you beach.

RE:Lot 5 Question

Clothing optional is at the parking lot 5 beach only although lot 4 has taken some overflow at times. Parking is at a premium at lot 5 so be sure and leave from where you are staying to be there by 8:00 A.M. otherwise it may be full. Any other questions feel free to ask. This is a friendly group.

RE:Lot 5 Question

Thank you. We figured the parking lot was not clothing optional and the reviews we read that said it was were just people pushing their luck. our local clothing optional beach lot fills up quickly so we will definitely get there nice and early. Do you need to worry about walking too far on the beach and entering the textile side again or is the nude side pretty long?

Walking too far?
That is one worry you will not have. It is 2 miles to lot 4 and then you will run into nudes at 4 that have walked down to strip off before you run into clothed bathers.
Enjoy your day there.

RE:Lot 5 Question

If you park at lot 5 the cat walk goes right out onto the c/o beach then runs south so you shouldn't have any problems at all as long as you walk south. There is plenty of beach before you get to the Back Country sign. You can't go south of that sign without first obtaining a Back Country pass at the park entrance gate. I'm not sure of the cost. Year before last they were $2.00 per person.

RE:Lot 5 Question

Thank you everyone. At our local CO beach you can walk about a mile towards the textile side before needing to turn around, around a querter to half mile tho you will get clothed bathers walking to you that sometimes do not know where they are and you get some funny looks or questions about being nude lol. We look forward to coming down in the spring
