I enjoy the feel after I've finished. But if I don't keep it up (pun intended) then the hair irritates when it grows back. I just use a Gillette razor. I've never tried anything else. However, if anyone has a good suggestion I'm open to trying something new.

I recommend use of an aftershave.. This really does stop the irritation.. THOUGH alcohol ones will give you a burn feeling that can be intense.. I use them but an quite used to it. They really do the trick. If not into the burn get a Nivea after shave lotion. Steve

I use just plain old Johnson and Johnson baby oil after I shave. Never had a problem of any type and smells so good. Like a new born babies behind.

Yes, I keep smooth as well, I either shave or use depilatory cream called balls bare.
