Create a New Group or Try & Revive the Dormant Ones?

I tried searching this topic but got completly unrelated results.
There are some great groups created on this site but unfortunately there are hundreds (and thats an understatement) of groups that have been dormant for years. Sadly, the most active groups (outside of the new user question forum stuff) are topics dealing with picture swapping, body parts, younger wants older and, well, you get what I'm saying. The good everyday mainstream topics are created and, a few people join and make one or two contributions and, then the group goes dormant. Should we try and revive them by being the only person posting in a 6 year-old dormant group or should we create a new group and add to a never ending list of eventual dead zones? Seems the site admins would put a time limit and purge the dormancy.
