How to move from one message to another on this site?

I find it really difficult to navigate between messages. When I wake up, I usually have around 20-30 messages in my inbox. I open a message and after having read it, there is no option to move to the next message. You need to go back to messages page again which takes about 2 to 3 clicks and then read the next message. There also doesn't seem to be an option to open messages in a new tab.

Is there a simpler way of doing it that I'm missing?

Unfortunately not. Most features on here aren't exactly user friendly. It tends to be run as a minimalist site. Improvements are few and far between.

With the upgrade a few months ago which turned into a downgrade with many features like this is very poor and not user friendly. Going from one group to another is just as bad.
