How long do the boat regattas usually last?

I understand that tends to be one of the busiest weekends in the season. I'm thinking it would be fun to go since I haven't been to one of those yet. On the flip side, I'm kind of having second thoughts if the event goes on a few hours because that means you would have very limited pool time throughout the day. Obviously you can't go swimming while they're racing. I'm just trying to get the most out of the money I spend and distance I travel to use as many amenities as possible. If I was a member who was there regularly, I wouldn't mind as much. However, I'm only there a couple times a year so to me, it's less of a no-brainer.

It is a couple of hours.

Honestly, if you are not going to participate and/or you don't know anyone who is going to participate I would pick a different weekend.

It is fun to watch but if you don't have "a dog in the hunt" it can get tiresome.

If we weren't members and didn't have friends involved we wouldn't go that weekend if being around the pool area was super important to us.
