Off grid supplemental power

I'm just now getting all the pieces of my off-grid supplemental power. I am building a ground mount 10-panel array about 2900watts. Just got my Outback Flex80 charge controller. Going to make a 48VDC system using a 6000watt pure sinewave inverter. I already have the ground mount and panels. The project is just to run air conditioners for the house.

5/11/2018 tried to order my 6000 watt inverter and it is out of stock everywhere. Guess I'll just order one of the mini splits and get that installed.

Well, I have one mini-split running and it seems to work OK. I still have to buy at least 4 deep cycle marine batteries so that is the next step. Things are moving along but slowly.

building the ground mount now. This site sure helps you when setting up directions and angles https://pvwatts.nrel.gov/
