Welcome

Welcome to all new members of this group. If you'd lie to share a little about your meditation experience, please do.

I enjoy mindfulness meditation and find it easiest t be present when naked - it just feels right. Alo love to meditate naked outdoors the feeling of the sun and breeze on my body makes me feel at one with the natural world, rather than be separated by a mask or barrier.

RE: Welcome

Aloha to all your meditation lovers!I was invited to a Tibetan meditation group about a year ago. This is the tradition brought to the West by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. We sit. We focus on the breath. When a thought or emotion or fantasy comes to mind we gently recognize it, then go back to the breath. There are suggestions for the posture, and either a pillow or a chair is fine.Anyone more interested I can point to you a youtube video...Happy breathing!Duane

RE: Welcome

Hi fellow meditators, and thanks to Shyman for creating this.
My journey with meditation started January 2016. I have had many attempts in the past and it just didn't do anything for me and i wouldn't persist. This time I found an app and a community that has made all the difference.I started with 5 minutes of guided meditation (mindfulness of breath), and when I felt comfortable I gradually increased the amount of time by 5 minute increments.Gradually I was able to do longer guided meditations, still with a focus on breath mindfulness. Then I began to do silent meditation without any background sound or noise. Again going back to five minutes. Now, some 220 consecutive days of meditation later, I have shifted from secular mindful meditation to Buddhist mindful meditation and meditate twice a day, 30 minutes each session.
The effects on my life has been extraordinary to say the least. If you wish to know more, best to ask me, otherwise I will turn into some crazed preachy loon on the benefits of meditation.
Namaste
John

RE:Welcome

I practice yoga and meditation daily. Only recently have I evolved to doing both in nude form, primarily from the privacy of my home. I hope to be able to do it outdoors at the first opportunity. It's great to really be free and open. Namaste.

RE:Welcome

Well, it appears that I have joined yet another group of which the moderator has not signed in for several years, nor apparently have some of the members. I recently joined 'Nudism and Spirituality,' a group which is about the spiritual connection we feel when we are nude and 'at one with nature,' meditating or just absorbing the sensual tranquility. I couldn't let the group die, so after some encouragement from other members I contacted TN and offered my services as moderator. They were happy to accept. So perhaps one or two of the members in this group might care to do the same; contact TN (message Team True 2) tell them the situation, and offer to moderate the group.
Of course you are all welcome to join 'Nudism and Spirituality'
Best wishes, Davesmooth.

RE: Welcome

Hi Colt! You may not have noticed, but Shyman, the group moderator has not logged in for five years! I've found the same thing in other groups that I've joined. I rescued 'Nudism and Spirituality' recently by taking over as moderator. You are welcome to join anytime.
Best wishes, Dave

Tried to get admins to respond to this issue of leaderless groups but so far this year no replies.
